The white supremacist mass shooting in Buffalo was a horrifying reminder of the cost of inaction in the face of gun violence. And while mass shootings like Buffalo shock the nation and make the gun violence epidemic impossible to ignore, we know that every day gun violence steals more than 100 lives and wounds twice as many without dominating the headlines.

We refuse to sit back while our elected leaders offer thoughts and prayers and empty calls for action. We have joined our partners across the country to demand that our elected leaders fulfill their promise to protect our communities from the scourge of gun violence.
