By asking your legislator to sign on as a co-sponsor the amendment of HB 5386, you are asking them to support legislation that would stop all pet stores in Connecticut from selling puppies from puppy mills. Through this amendment, the pet stores would only be able to purchase from animal welfare organizations. 

Through government health documents, we have been able to track where Connecticut pet stores are sourcing puppies from and, unsurprisingly, they are buying from puppy mills with many violations and citations, which put many dog in danger.
