The recent election's results were not what we hoped for, but what matters moving forward is that we remember who we are and what we're fighting for. Queer and Trans liberation has never been an easy road, and regardless of the incoming Trump era, we in New Mexico know that there is still a fight to be had, and a fight to be won. This election has changed some strategies but it never changed our goal: liberation for queer and trans New Mexicans through policies that ensure LGBTQ New Mexicans have housing, healthcare, economic security, safety in public and private spaces, and—most of all—connection and community.
Rest. Heal. Rejuvinate. And when you're ready to, we will be here, gratefully accepting your time and energy to volunteer and continue the fight with us. Equality New Mexico has stood for the LGBTQ community since 1993, and we will continue to do so now.
Keep in mind, this is just an interest form. Before we ask you to volunteer for anything we will reach out to you and see if it's something that you're interested in and willing to do before we put you down for anything officially. No previous training is needed, we'll guide you through the whole process!
