For too long, families have had to choose between caring for each other and making ends meet. Paid Family and Medical can change that.  Maine has the opportunity to pass a strong paid leave program through LD 1964, An Act to Implement the Recommendations of the Commission to Develop a Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program.  This bill moved out of the legislature's Labor and Housing Committee with an 8-5 vote of Ought to Pass and now goes onto the House and Senate! Please take the time to thank those legislators who listened to hundreds of people from Kittery to Caribou and supported paid leave for all of Maine.
