Explore your climate feelings through art. Join cartoonists Denali Sai Nalamalapu and Madeleine Jubilee Saito for a two-hour interactive workshop using comics to process climate anxiety and grief. Through examples from their new books—"Holler: A Graphic Memoir of Rural Resistance" and "You Are a Sacred Place: Visual Poems for Living in Climate Crisis"—you’ll reflect on personal experiences and create short comics that help express emotions words alone can’t reach. No art experience needed—just bring something to write and draw with (digital or analog, whatever you like best). About the artists: • Denali Sai Nalamalapu (they/them) is a climate organizer and comic artist based in Southwest Virginia. • Madeleine Jubilee Saito (she/her) is a Seattle-based cartoonist whose work has been featured in "All We Can Save" and "On Being".
