Here is the message for Senator Tester:
 

Dear Senator Tester,

On the one year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, we, the undersigned Montanans, thank you for your work to support and ultimately pass this once-in-a-generation law already driving economic growth and promoting energy freedom through increased investments in renewable energy development. 

The visionary and indispensable efforts to propel renewable energy within the framework of this legislation stand as a testament to your forward-thinking leadership. By means of strategic tax incentives and other compelling incentives, this law has already ignited a surge in renewable energy production. It is encouraging to witness the announcement of over 80 new major clean energy manufacturing facilities in the United States in just this year, all thanks to the impetus provided by the bill. Moreover, the substantial investments allocated to battery manufacturing and storage technology signify a resolute commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Through your work on the IRA and the Farm Bill, you have also ensured our government supports the folks that produce our food and sustain our nation. The provisions in these bills aimed at incentivizing innovation and sustainable practices within the agricultural industry are already helping farmers and ranchers. Initiatives like the revamped Rural Energy for America program are distributing grants to producers to purchase renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, helping Montana farms and ranches save money. 

As weather and supply-chain disruptions become more frequent, the IRA also provided an additional $3.1 billion for the USDA to help distressed producers who need help when times get tough. These measures, along with others, not only help us enhance our productivity but also contribute to the overall health of our environment and communities. Your foresight in recognizing the link between a thriving agricultural sector and a flourishing nation is commendable.
