The wetlands of Vermilion Parish are now threatened by the ExxonMobil Injection Project, a carbon waste injection field proposed for the golden meadows north of Pecan Island in Louisiana.
ExxonMobil is applying for a Coastal Use Permit for test waste injection wells in these irreplaceable wetlands. We know from ExxonMobil's other waste injection sites how this will pollute and destroy hundreds of acres of surrounding waters and forests. Let's demand the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) not let it happen again.
Take action today to defend Louisiana fisheries, communities, and ecosystems from reckless industrial expansion and unsafe, polluting carbon waste injection schemes.
Tell LDNR to hold a local hearing for the ExxonMobil Pecan Island test wells, and to deny ExxonMobil's request to drill in our marshes!
