We need your help to pass “Clean Slate” legislation that would streamline the process for sealing certain arrest and conviction records - bolstering the workforce, accelerating pandemic recovery and creating opportunity for people who have served their time, remained crime-free and deserve to fully participate in our society.

In Colorado, putting a record behind you is extremely challenging. While many types of non-violent criminal records are already eligible for sealing under state law, the current process imposes barriers including filing a petition and often requiring expensive legal assistance and court fees. As a result, less than 5% of Coloradans have managed to get their records sealed, leaving more than 1.3 million eligible people behind. It is time to end this cumbersome and complex process and give Coloradans the chance they have earned to rebuild their lives.
