Call your Senator: Vote YES on SB 1497 to make polluters pay their fair share

Why should taxpayers be the ones bearing the brunt of the costs of the climate crisis?

SB 1497 would make sure that the biggest polluters are the ones who pay. It will accomplish this by requiring the first comprehensive study to quantify the costs to California caused by the climate crisis and require companies that have done business in California to pay a fee proportional to the damage their greenhouse gas emissions have caused the state.
