Meeting point: We will meet at the intersection of Chinquapin Road and Seven Springs Trail (Google Map). Please bike or walk in from Empire Grade at Twin Gates.

What We'll Be Doing

Join a guided educational hike in the UCSC Forest Ecology Research Plot. Learn about forest dynamics research while exploring this living laboratory of coastal forest ecology. This tour provides unique insights into how scientists study forest ecosystems over time.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Layered clothing appropriate for weather
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Filled reusable water bottle and snacks
  • A cup for coffee in the morning

SCMTS will provide morning coffee and light snacks in addition to drink, meal, and raffle tickets for the after-party!
