Forest Therapy Walk

Experience nature in a unique way on a guided Forest Therapy Walk throughout Baltimore Woods! Forest Therapy, also known as “forest bathing,” stems from a Japanese practice known as Shinrin Yoku. Led by June Leo-Randazzo, a Certified ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, this program invites participants to immerse themselves in nature and open their senses to the surroundings of the forest.

Registration for this program closes at 3pm on Wednesday, July 23.

More details: This walk is designed for adults. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. You will be notified ahead of the program on where to park and meet on the day of the walk. The walk will take place rain or shine. In case cancellation is necessary due to dangerous conditions, you will be notified by email the morning of the walk. Dress for the weather, this program will be entirely outdoors. Insect repellent and a hat is recommended.

Baltimore Woods Nature Center works hard to reduce the risk of illness to our staff and program participants. If you or any participants with you have any symptoms of or have been diagnosed with a communicable illness (including COVID-19, flu, colds, stomach viruses, rashes, etc.)  please do not travel to Baltimore Woods and call our office at 315-673-1350 to let us know you cannot attend. Masking during programs is optional and supported based on an individual's preference and risk levels. 

You are also acknolwedging the Forest Therapy Walk Liability Agreement:

1. I acknowledge that outdoor activities in natural areas entail known and unanticipated risks that could result in injury.

2. I agree and promise to accept responsibility for my own safety and well-being during this activity. I understand that at any time I may opt to not participate in any part of the activity should I feel that it is not safe, or simply that I do not want to participate for any reason.

3. I voluntarily release and hold harmless June Leo-Randazzo , Shinrin Yoku NY Forest Therapy Nature Immersion, and the individuals who are acting as guides on this walk from any and all claims of liability which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity. 

4. If I have a medical condition or health concern that I think the guides should be aware of, I will verbally inform them at the beginning of the walk.
