Children with developmental delays and disabilities need us to step up for them this week. State Senators and Assemblymembers are setting their priorities for this year's state budget right now. They need to know that kids can't wait for life-changing therapies like speech, occupational, and physical therapy. The brains of infants and toddlers develop rapidly. Getting timely therapy can have lifelong impacts. 

But right now, too many kids in our communities are waiting for those services because there aren't enough therapists in the Early Intervention system. Why not? Because the pay is too low and they can make a better living working elsewhere. Because of a law passed in 2021, New York has the money to fix this.
