Dear Santa Fe County Commissioners,
As a community member of Santa Fe County, I support the Rancho Viejo Solar Project and its associated energy storage facility. This project represents an important step forward in both clean energy development and community growth.
Solar and energy storage projects like Rancho Viejo are a great way to bolster our local economy. Not only will they create construction jobs, but they will also generate a stable source of tax revenue for our county. This revenue will support the local Santa Fe fire department, our school funding, and can go towards other necessary elements that help our community thrive.
We all live in this beautiful place for its culture, the peace and quiet, and the gorgeous landscape. A solar farm, unlike high-density housing developments that have been cropping up throughout the region, make quiet and clean neighbors. I believe that out of any development possible for our community, solar is by far the best option to maintain the quality of our county we all love living in.
I strongly believe that the Rancho Viejo Solar Project will bring positive, long-lasting benefits to our whole community, both near and far throughout Santa Fe. I encourage you to move forward with this project, which will help Santa Fe County thrive both economically and environmentally.
