The Center for Racial and Gender Equity is a grassroots organization focusing on policy and electoral campaigns, engaging Black voters and building Black women's leadership to advance a legislative agenda and candidates that support Black liberation. We achieve this through our civic engagement program targeting Voter Mobilization, Candidate Endorsement, Political Education, Policy Advocacy, and Leadership Development.
Through our organizing efforts in both Illinois and Wisconsin, we recognize that our wins from 2021-2023 were because we elected people we could move around issues we care about and are directly impacted by. We must continue pushing our local and federal elected officials to ensure we see changes for a inclusive society for ALL.
Join the Center for Racial and Gender Equity(CRGE) in mobilizing and building power this election by sending texts to friends, family, and neighbors around the city & state to Get Out The Vote, mobilize policy makers around issues that impact all of us, and more.
Relational organizing is one of the most effective ways to mobilize and shift power by leveraging personal relationships to build political engagement. It's about empowering people you already know—friends, family, co-workers—to vote, advocate, and take action on the issues that affect our communities.
Join Center for Racial and Gender Equity as we encourage our friends and family to Get Out The Vote & Take Action! You can take action whenever and wherever it's convenient for you:
✅ Text friends, family, and neighbors across the city and state to Get Out The Vote!
✅ Mobilize policymakers around issues that impact all of us!
Impactive is a tool that helps us connect with voters, members, and communities to educate and mobilize them through:
✅ Friend-to-Friend Messaging – Send a prewritten text to your contacts encouraging them to vote.
✅ Peer-to-Peer Messaging – Reach out to a targeted list of Black voters in a specific ward, district, or city.
We are also offering the Civic Power Leader opportunity to all volunteers, CRGE members, and the general public to help us expand our mobilization efforts. As a Relational Leader, you will:
Engage your friends and family in voter outreach and advocacy.
Work with a Relational Organizer who will provide training, community-building opportunities, and ongoing support.
