Save the Richmond San Rafael Bridge Trail

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is planning to recommend the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) to close the bike/walk pathway all day on Mondays through Thursdays, and only open it to people biking or walking on Fridays through Sundays.

This would be done by shifting the existing movable zipper barrier back and forth to create a 10-foot wide break down shoulder where the pathway is currently.

People who rely on the path to travel between the East and North Bay would have no reasonable options.

MTC is trying to make this change as soon as possible, but they need to get approvals from the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) and MTC's Commission first.

Sign the petition now to call on MTC and BCDC to maintain bike/walk access to the Richmond San Rafael Bridge Trail 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
