Asian Solidarity and Action Project (ASAP) 2025: Part 1 of Application

In many Asian communities, the idea of community care and solidarity is a familiar one — it's been passed on through generations. At times we feed each other, share childcare duties, host gatherings to stay connected, and set up lending circles to cover expenses. It's a shared history of recognizing a need in the community and taking action. When there are no outside structures in place to help us, we often act swiftly to support and lift each other up. 

The Asian Solidarity and Action Project (ASAP) cohort program was launched in celebration of these traditions of care. This will be a 5-month program to support community-led projects that provide education or resources to community members, uplift community voices and stories, or mobilize community members around relevant issues. Projects that support underserved communities will be prioritized.

The ASAP cohort program provides resources and support to projects, including:

  • A $5,000 stipend (accepting only 3 applicants) 
  • Consultations with a mentor of your choosing
  • Monthly project planning support & coaching sessions

This year, we are excited to support even more community members with their projects through ASAP Spark, a component of ASAP which will involve less hands-on project planning support, and will provide a $700 stipends to 5 applicants. This addition to the program will provide opportunities to projects in a wider range of sizes, scope, and experiences.  Click here to learn more about the program and to see project examples.

Project proposals could be either existing efforts or ideas in the works. The program will run from May - October. Projects can be submitted by individuals and/or teams.
