Mental Health for the Resistance (Northampton PA) Pennsylvania May 16, 2025 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley, 2354 Grove Rd, Allentown, PA 18109 The state of the world currently is taking a toll on the well being of people who value empathy and compassion. The current administration’s “shock and awe” strategy is intended to create psychological overwhelm because when you are forced into survival mode, you are less able to resist. With the guidance of family therapist April Gabriel-Ferretti MS,LMFT, this event will provide space to share how our bodies and minds are responding to what we are collectively experiencing and best practices of how to care for them so that we can continue to be functional in what is most important to us. The emphasis will be on sustainability so we can be the most effective in protecting the vulnerable and building better things in our local communities while learning to focus on what we can control vs what we can’t. Join us for this timely event, as we shore up our mental health for the resistance.
