NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMITMENT FORM

I agree to accept the nomination of Negotiating Committee member for contract negotiations between SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania and my facility. I understand that I am responsibly for the following and I hereby commit myself to these responsibilities:

To fairly and objectively represent all members of my chapter and to objectively represent the issues of my department, work area, classification, and status.
To attend all negotiation sessions and to take all steps to ensure that I am scheduled off work in order to attend all sessions.
To attend all membership meetings during the negotiation process in order to inform the membership of the status of negotiations and to answer questions.
To participate in and assist in leading the activities of the union and my chapter.
To communicate with the members I represent on an ongoing basis regarding the status of negotiations and to encourage participation in activities designed to support winning a fair settlement.
To actively participate in the discussion and decision-making process of the Negotiating Committee, while respecting and defending the opinion and participation of all others.
To participate in the negotiation process and related activities of the union without being under the influence of our using any non-prescribed drugs and/or alcohol.
