Radon Air Monitoring Interest Form

Interested in testing the radon levels in your home?

Protect PT (Penn-Trafford) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to ensuring residents' safety, security, and quality of life by engaging in education and advocacy to protect the economic, environmental, and legal rights of the people in Westmoreland and Allegheny counties.

Protect PT's Radon Air Monitoring Program (RAMP) helps participants detect and avoid exposure to unhealthy indoor radon levels. RAMP achieves this goal by providing access to radon measurement tools and services so program participants can assess radon levels in their property and decide whether to address or mitigate radon levels. There is no charge to participate, but you can choose to donate to Protect PT in order to support the continued operation of this program.

This program offers two options to participants.

EcoQube Lending:

Within Protect PT's service area of Westmoreland and Allegheny counties, participants can borrow a high quality, consumer grade radon monitor called an EcoQube for up to 30 days of use. This radon measurement tool is smaller than a soda can, plugs into a standard power outlet and connects to wifi. It sits quietly on a flat surface collecting data. Using the EcoQube app on a mobile device, participants can check their radon levels in real time, see average radon levels over longer time periods, and save the results for future reference.

RadonEye Pro Testing:

Within a 45 minute drive time of our home office in Harrison City, PA, participants can receive a 14 day radon test performed by certified Protect PT staff with a professional grade radon monitor called a RadonEye Pro. This monitor is a little larger than a soda can, plugs into a standard power outlet and connects to wifi. It sits quietly on a flat surface collecting data. Protect PT staff will install and retrieve the monitor. Participants will receive a report of the radon monitoring results.
