Demand a Just End to Marijuana Prohibition - A Senate Bill To Be Introduced Soon

In the final days of the 116th Congress, House members historically voted to approve legislation The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2019 (The MORE Act) repealing federal marijuana prohibition. This legislation would have legalized cannabis federally and comprehensively address the economic, social, and criminal justice inequities created through marijuana criminalization.

On February 1st, Senators Cory Booker, Ron Wyden, and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer released a statement declaring their intention to introduce a bill outlining how to best legalize and regulate cannabis.

In less than 5 minutes, you can call, message, and tweet Congress in support of the forthcoming efforts of Senators Cory Booker, Ron Wyden, and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to finalize and advance legislation to repeal the federal prohibition on marijuana and to eventually regulate cannabis commerce.

Resolving the state-federal conflict on marijuana laws should be a top priority for Congress -- further delays only prolong the harms of prohibition even though a significant majority of Americans believe cannabis should be legal. Today, we're closer than ever to making a just end to cannabis prohibition a reality, but we need your help.
