Due to an overwhelming number of applications since the opening of the Performing Arts Equitable Payroll Fund (PAEPF), we are no longer accepting new applications. We are currently reviewing the applications that have been submitted and will make announcements once the review process is complete.
Program Background
Senate Bill 1116 (Portantino) established the Performing Arts Equitable Payroll Fund Program to support small nonprofit performing arts organizations (SNPAOs) with adjusted gross revenue* under $2 million. The Fund reimburses a portion of their payroll costs on a quarterly basis, using a tiered reimbursement schedule. Smallest organizations receive the highest percentage of reimbursement.

Eligibility
To qualify applicant's primary mission must be the creation of or presentation of performing arts, in productions that are advertised and open to the public. Nonprofits and Model C fiscally-sponsored organizations can both apply. To determine eligibility, applicants are asked to submit certain documents and information. Additional information will be included in the Program Guidelines.
