Stand Up for State Workers
Silent Protest March at the Capitol
The State's offer of a 6% general salary increase over three years makes it clear they do not value what Local 1000 workers do to keep California running or that most of our workforce is struggling to make ends meet. So, we're done asking—it's time to demand that our state legislators Respect Us, Protect Us, and Pay Us! And here's how you can help.
Join us on Thursday, June 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the State Capitol (meet at the South Steps) for a silent march to demand fair and equitable wages for State Workers.
- Wear black
- Please leave all backpacks and purses at home to ensure speedy passage through security at the Capitol.
- And if you can't make it in person, wear all black to work in solidarity and stand up at your desk or work area at 10:00 a.m. for one minute of silent protest
Lunch will be served after the march.
